The John Woo (Ng Yu Sum) directed film THE CROSSING (TAI PING LUN) yesterday held an all star launch ceremony in Beijing. Ng Yu Sum led Song Hye-Kyo, Huang Xiaoming and Tong Dawei in attendance; Zhang Ziyi and Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo) were absent. Song Hye-Kyo said that no one has ever showed her so many sides of acting like THE CROSSING because the character needed her to have many costumes like a retro fashion show on the big screen. Her performance also had a variety of experience.

Huang Xiaoming and Tong Dawei worked together again after AMERICAN DREAMS IN CHINA. Huang Xiaoming joked that they were suspected to be "gay", they were "good gay friends" for life. They immediately held hands for the media as the crowd roared, "Together".

THE CROSSING spent 400 million RMB to make a love story that span 50 years with elements like war and disaster. It will open on December 2. Ng Yu Sum also talked about love, speaking that after almost 40 years of marriage he still believed in love. Now divorce is very normal, his foreign friends would ask him who his wife is today. He would respond still that woman, no change except for more wrinkles on her face. This time he made even more attempt in the element of love when he made THE CROSSING. He hoped investors would see that Ng Yu Sum was more than just action, he could make a romance too.
