The Pang Ho Cheung directed film ABERDEEN (HEUNG GONG JAI) yesterday held a press conference in Beijing. Aside from the director, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Gigi Leung Wing Kei and Jacky Cai Jie also attended. The director was asked why he did not permit Goo Jai to play handsome in the film. He said, "Because Koo Tin Lok himself is already too handsome, I hope his performance in the film can have a different feel than normal and thus I tried to tone him down a little." Unfortunately, the director's Putonghua was less than fluent as he made "Koo Tin Lok originally is too handsome" sound like "Koo Tin Lok originally is already too bad". Leung Wing Kei could not help but laugh and finally the host had to deliver the correct pronunciation. Goo Jai said that he never thought that he was handsome. He did not know why the director had to deliberately adjust.

Speaking of Mainland internet users' demands for Chapman To Man Chak to be removed from the new film due to his comments or they would boycott the film, would the director support Ah Jat? Pang Ho Cheung said, "This movie isn't just the effort of me alone, the cast and the crew have all put into an effort. I have already prepared for five years, in hopes of the story to be more complete and preserve the meaning of the story. I suggested that if internet users don't like to watch a certain actor's performance, they can cover their eyes for a minute when that actor appears and let the film pass." He immediately covered his face with a fan and made the entire venue laugh.

Pang Ho Cheung yesterday also issued a statement with the title "So Messy That You No Longer Remember, At first Why You Started". He reiterated that this film was not his own effort, but it was also Koo Tin Lok, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Leung Wing Kei, Eric Tsang Chi Wai and other actors and the crew's effort.

The statement said, "Recently I saw some online comments. An internet user has opinions about an actor's recent comments. This actor in this film guest starred in one scene. I am a film director, before I yell cut, the lines that the actors say pass when I say they pass; yet after I yell cut, an actor in life returns to himself. I cannot influence him." He also pointed out, "For a creator, the work is the starting point as well as the destination. I respect everyone's freedom of expression and at the same time not harming the innocent. This is the reunion that I, the cast and the crew would like to see."
